Recently there was a posting on the internet of a video. In said video there was a girl. This girl sang a tweaked version Song the Sinner Sings.
Never had that happen. It was so sweet and awesome. The way she arranged it and sang it really moody and meaning it was such a treat.
Never got to think about questions like: How does someone pick a song to cover? Where did they hear it? Why did they change it the way they did?
I also got a call a few weeks ago. A friend of mine went to a funeral. My friend’s friend’s father had tragically passed away. The father had evidently been a fan of some song; I forget which one. But in the message my friend said that it was a surreal treat to walk into a funeral home and hear a song playing that he’d known like that.
Two really surreal happenings.
